On Monday, December 1, 2025, the Department of Nutrition at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health organized a mini-symposium and tasting session entitled “The Taste of the Greek Mediterranean: Tradition, Culture, and Health”. Ms. Trichopoulou was a guest of the Department Chair, Professor Frank Hu, at an event that focused on the health benefits and cultural heritage of the traditional Greek Mediterranean diet. Emphasis was placed on traditional foods and their friendly relationship with the environment and the need for further nutritional research regarding their composition and preparation methods. The event concluded with a tasting of traditional foods and a tour of the new nutritional research kitchen.
