The 3^rd International Olive Conference & Festival (ELIA Lesvos Confest) was held with great success in Lesvos (May 27-30, 2026), organized by the 'Eleas Nisos Lesvos' Association. Under the slogan 'Olive Oil, the Balm of All', the event attracted over 1,500 visitors and 128 distinguished speakers from Greece and abroad.

The festival was held under the auspices of the International Olive Council (IOC) and supported by leading universities (Yale, NKUA). Through scientific presentations, experiential workshops, and tastings, the impact of olive oil on health, the environment, gastronomy, and tourism was highlighted, while promoting the island's exquisite local varieties.

Dr. Antonia Trichopoulou also participated in the festival, delivering a speech titled 'Wild Greens and Aromatic Herbs: The Use of Olive Oil'. Ms. Trichopoulou highlighted the value of wild greens and herbs in the traditional Mediterranean Diet.
