The 2^nd Olive Oil Forum was held on Saturday, May 16, at the Conference Auditorium of the Agricultural University of Athens. The central theme of this year’s event was “Olive Oil: Production, Research, Innovation, Taste, Health, Consumption”

The forum brought together distinguished representatives from academia, the production sector, and the olive oil market. The presentations and panels addressed the current challenges facing the industry, sustainable cultivation practices, international market outreach, as well as the latest scientific data regarding the product’s nutritional value.

Among the keynote speakers, Ms Trichopoulou participated in the session entitled “Health, Science, Nutrition and Quality Controls”.

The forum concluded with a synthesis of conclusions regarding the strategic direction and requirements of the sector.
