The Second World Conference of Classics

The 2nd World Conference of Classics was held in Athens this year, bringing together over 200 prominent academics and researchers from around the globe. The two-day event was co-organized by the Academy of Athens and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS).

The central theme of the conference focused on leveraging classical Greek and Chinese thought to address the modern challenges of the 21st century. Key thematic sessions centered on virtue, education, peace, community, and the relationship between technology and culture.

In parallel, a digital exhibition featuring Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Virtual Reality (VR) applications was held, showcasing interactive dialogues between ancient philosophers and highlighting the timeless relevance of classical studies.

Ms. Trichopoulou participated in Academic Salon 1: "Philanthropy, Friendship, and Classical Wisdom," while Ms. Tomou, an associate of the Research Center for Greek and Latin Literature (KEEDY), took part in the Youth Scholars Roundtable: "Friendship and a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind."
