On September 18, 2025, the multi-event “Olive Oil in the Promotion of Health and Sustainable Development” was held at Harokopio University.

The presentation highlighted the deep connection between the olive tree and olive oil in Greece, as well as the crucial role of olive oil in the Greek diet

Ms Peppa and Mr Gipalis referred to the consumption of olive oil in Greece, drawing on data from national and international organizations.

Ms Trichopoulou closed the presentation by expressing her concerns about the reduction in olive oil consumption in Greece and by providing suggestions to prevent this phenomenon.
