On the 13^th and 14^th of June 2024, Dr Trichopoulou along with other members of the Mediterranean Diet Joint Task Force contributed with a 2-day face-to-face meeting in Rome. This Joint Task Force is a collaborative working group integrated by members of the Task Force on Mediterranean Networking of the Federation of European Nutrition Societies (FENS), the Sustainable Diets Task Force of the International Union of Nutrition Societies (IUNS) and the Sustainable Mediterranean Diet Unit of the International Centre for Advanced Agronomic Mediterranean Studies (CIHEAM). All these institutions express their mutual concern about the deviation from the Mediterranean Diet in the population living in the Mediterranean area, the need to refresh the Med Diet and the work on possible solutions.
